And then, the babies go camping!!

So we get ready to go out of town for the weekend after the 4th of July. The babies have spent some time in their pen at home to get ready and load up pretty easily to leave home. They were not completely thrilled to discover that they had to stay in the "pen that bites" :-)








They did very well all weekend, though. They hit the fence a couple of times, necessitating tightening it up, but never went through it.

The babies all got to go out on the trail for a long walk and had a blast. They walked through puddles, learned to eat and keep on walkin', and drank from the water troughs that are out there for the ride. Ripple, who is just too cute, got to follow along loose while Chiron marched along and Shiraz meandered way behind and he was terrific!










Hopefully, by starting so early, by the time they are actually old enough to be ridden in a ride, all the details will be old hat! :-)
